Course Titles and Descriptions

Leadership
Helps students discover their calling as well as studying Jesus’ model of being a servant and a leader. Students acquire an understanding of the importance of developing Christian character as a leader and as a servant of the Lord within the body of Christ.
Church Administration
Attention is given to the various aspects of the minister’s life, including work, family time, schedule, and staff relationships. Studies include the protocol of church administration, organization, leadership characteristics and the relationship of administration to congregation members.
Church Growth
A comprehensive study of how to start churches and how to keep them going and growing. Biblical principles are applied to both world missions and local church settings. The components of evangelism, education, missions, and administrative leadership are studied in the context of establishment and growth of the local church.
Soul Winning and Evangelism
Students are taught the importance of personal witnessing and soul winning as it relates to building the local church and the Kingdom of God. The focus is on the concept of being in missions to the un-churched.
Healing
Healing is examined through the study of scriptures. The historical theological approaches toward healing are reviewed in relation to the contemporary, local church. Students are encouraged to view divine healing as a regular part of their lives
Hebrews and General Epistles
An analysis of Hebrews, James, the books of Peter, and Jude; these books are studied from an historical perspective, as well as practical application for contemporary Christian living
Acts
A concentrated study of the Book of Acts with special emphasis on the events of the early church, the out pouring of the Holy Spirit and Paul’s life and impact on the church, through his travels are reviewed as well.
New Testament Survey
Special attention is given to the cultural, historical, geographical, and spiritual significance of the New Testament. Emphasis is placed on practical application of New Testament themes for modern Christianity.
Old Testament Survey Parts One and Two
This course is historical-thematic survey of the Old Testament. Special attention will be given to the cultural background, theological and contextual perspectives, and the practical application of major Old Testament themes. Also, emphasis will be placed on the study of literary genres and on the political and religious environment in the ancient Near East.
Zoe
The God-kind of life is a study of the quality of life you received the instant your spirit was born again. Zoe is a gift from God. Zoe is life as God himself has it. Students learn that this life is a present possession, not just a future hope.
Faith
This course provides a study of the whole-person within the context of practical Christian ministry. Physical, intellectual, social, moral and faith development for all ages and stages of Christians will be discussed.
Bible Doctrines
This class will cover 16 fundamentals doctrines from both Old and New Testament, tracing the biblical roots of our current beliefs and practices.
Authority of the Believer
This course is a look into the authority that all believers have been granted through Christ. A strong emphasis is placed on the application and manifestation of ministry gifts and signs provided to all believers.
Homiletics
Students will learn how to prepare a sermon from concept to presentation. They will have to prepare written notes and content for various sermons. They will discover study techniques communication skills.
Ephesians
Each section of the book of Ephesians will be covered. Ephesians is one of the most concentrated doctrinal epistles that Paul wrote. It is one of four epistles that Paul wrote during his first Roman imprisonment. The book of Ephesians is laid our in a systematic and deliberate manner. The first half of the book deals with who we are in Christ. The last half of the book deals with the application of truth to our life.
Godly Finances
A comprehensive look into what the scriptures have to say about the abilities to gain financial wealth, the role that money plays in the ministry, and the potential dangers of wealth.
Life of Christ
A look into the life of Christ as described in the four gospels; His early days and ministry and an overview of His methods and miracles.
Life of Joseph
This class will explore the life and times of Joseph from the Old Testament; the types and lessons that his story teaches us; his early days and his rise to power in Egypt.
Overview of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit will be traced from creation to Pentecost. The different ways the Holy Spirit has related to the believer in both Old and New Testaments
Types of Christ
A look at the many Old Testaments types, foreshadows, forerunners of Christ and an interesting look at both people and things that announced the coming of Christ.
Sermon on the Mount
An in depth look at Christ’s first sermon; the many truths and mysteries that Christ taught regarding His upcoming ministry.
Wisdom
An overview of the great truths taught in Proverbs and Ecclesiastes.
